Review of mononucleosis. It is useful to identify the presence of Epstein-Barr virus, which causes the disease that is characterized by causing fever, sore throat, loss of appetite and muscle pain.
Review of suppression of growth hormone. Identifies whether the hormone levels are high, as this is a cause of acromegaly (a disorder that causes gradual enlargement of tissues, bones of the face, hands, feet and skull) in adults or gigantism (excessive growth) in children.

It is important to note that if the result of any analysis is outside the normal ranges established laboratories that do not necessarily mean there is a serious condition, it must also be considered symptoms and physical findings.
