Search radioactive abscesses. Identify if there are accumulations of pus in the body when a person has symptoms of sepsis (bacterial infection in the blood).
C1 inhibiting factor. Allows to evaluate the severity of disease and determine treatment efficacy, it is also useful for diagnosing hereditary angioedema (anomaly that causes inflammation and fluid accumulation in the eyes, lips, hands, feet and throat.
Ionized calcium. Its purpose is to investigate and monitor bone disease, impaired calcium regulation and kidney problems or thyroid disease.
Calcitonin. Your doctor may suggest a calcitonin test when symptoms of thyroid cancer and osteoporosis.
Total capacity of iron binding (TIBC). It is useful for anemia.
T3-resin uptake. Is performed as adjuncts to the evaluation of the thyroid gland.
Karyotype. Generally sought to determine whether the developing fetus have genetic abnormalities.
Ceruloplasmin. Is performed for suspected metabolic disorders and / or storage of copper in blood.
CPK. It is useful to determine the severity of muscle disease and heart attack diagnosis and postoperative infection.

Lactic dehydrogenase (LDH). Evaluates the presence of tissue damage in heart, liver, kidneys, bones, brain, blood cells and lungs.
Blood grouping. Indicates what type of blood each person.
ELISA and Western blot for HIV. Are two techniques that detect the presence of antibodies to human immunodeficiency virus, causes AIDS.
Erythropoietin. Whether you suffer from disorders in bone marrow or kidneys.
Estriol in serum. Its most common use is in assessing fetal status during pregnancy.
Platelet aggregation test. Is mainly required when there is a tendency to bleed frequently.
Direct Coombs’ test. Detects if the immune system is producing antibodies against your own red blood cells.
Review of estradiol. Evaluated ovarian function, particularly when it is suspected that they may have a tumor, or if there is delayed or abnormal development of male or female body characteristics.
Glucose test. It is used to assess levels of sugar in the blood and diagnose diabetes.
